Reading Circle and Story Time


Reading Circle meets at the Library on the 2nd Monday of each month. November's meeting will be November 9th at 7:30. The book discussion will cover Mary Balogh's "Under the Mistletoe" (a Christmas collection).

Story time continues on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. Preschoolers 3 and older are welcome.

The library will be CLOSED on November 11th for Veterans Day.

What's new in October?


What's new? Husker Books, Closed Day and New materials!

The library received a large donation of NU Cornhusker Books recently from Seth Denney.View them in our showcase. These are a wonderful addition to the library's existing collection.

The library will be closed all day Wednesday, October 28th. Open again Thursday October 29th at 11 a.m.

New materials added to the collection this month include:

Puzzles!

The library has received a donation of a collection of jigsaw puzzles. We have a puzzle table back by the magazines.

Ok, yes, I know this is not terribly exciting news.....BUT if you have some time to kill, stop in the library and put some of the pieces in.....you might enjoy it more than you think!

Our patrons have finished two so far. (They're good!) I took a picture of the second one -- I missed the first one; it was completed on my day off, darn!

The Monday Night Reading Circle held their organizational meeting at the Library on September 15th to decide book selections and meeting dates for the coming year.

Five returning members and one new member were present.

The book to be discussed in October is: "Wicked: the true story of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire.

"Wicked" will be discussed October 19th at 7:30 at the Library. Dorrene Bloomfield will lead the discussion. Anyone interested in joining the Reading Circle can obtain more information by calling the Library at 832-2648. New members are always welcome.

First Family~Night Movie at the library




"Race to Witch Mountain" was the first Family~Night movie at the library sponsored by Friends of Jensen Memorial Library. Thank you to all the Friends who worked so hard to make this a success.

Approximately 40 individuals enjoyed free popcorn, an action packed movie and good company this evening. {oh yes, it was also cool in the library! a decided benefit today.}
